A New York man has been sentenced to 22 months in prison for buying Viagra in a new manner, according to the U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois.

The indictment, filed in the Southern District of New York, charged Smith with one count of importing prescription drugs into the United States from China and distributing them to individuals over the age of 18. He was also found guilty of importing and distributing the counterfeit drugs and of importing and distributing counterfeit pharmaceuticals.
According to the indictment, Smith’s primary residence in New York was a residence that he had lived in for several years and that he had lived in for several months.
Smith was arrested for the crime and was taken into custody by prosecutors after he was found with a note in his pocket bearing the words “Viagra for Sale.”
Smith was charged with two counts of introducing and distributing counterfeit prescription drugs, the government said.

Young, each pleaded guilty to conspiring to sell and distribute counterfeit prescription drugs, and Young was found guilty of importing and distributing the drugs.
